Welcome Message from the Head Teacher
On behalf of the Board of Governors, the teaching staff, and the entire school community, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Burema Secondary School—a place where young people are inspired to learn, grow, and prepare for a meaningful future.
Guided by our motto, “Education is Life Investment,” we believe that quality education is the most valuable gift and foundation we can offer a student. From our origins in 1982 as Burema Girls to our growth as a government-aided, Church of Uganda-founded mixed secondary school, our commitment has remained unchanged: to produce all-round, self-reliant students equipped to serve their communities and the nation.
At Burema, we go beyond academic instruction. We provide both O-Level and A-Level curricula integrated with strong Christian principles, discipline, ICT skills, and rich co-curricular programs in sports, leadership, and the arts. Our goal is to nurture students who are intellectually capable, morally upright, hardworking, and accountable.

Established in 1982 as a girls’ secondary school and becoming a mixed institution in 1993, Burema Secondary School is a government-aided school founded by the Church of Uganda. Located in Kanyatorongo Subcounty, Kanungu District, we provide quality O-Level and A-Level education focused on academic achievement, Christian values, discipline, and practical self-reliance.
