Our History
Our Journey Towards Educational Leadership
1982 – Present
From Burema Girls to a Vibrant Mixed Secondary School
Burema Secondary School was established in 1982 as a single-sex girls' school known as Burema Girls Secondary School. In 1993, to better serve the educational needs of Kanungu and surrounding communities, the school transitioned into a co-educational (mixed) institution under the name Burema Secondary School. Founded on Church of Uganda values and operating as a government-aided institution, the school has spent over four decades providing quality O-Level and A-Level education, instilling discipline, Christian principles, and practical self-reliance in generations of students.
